Alba Gutiérrez is a Right to Information Campaigner and Researcher at Access Info Europe, having joined the organisation in October 2015.
Alba has previously worked as a researcher and project coordinator of various transparency and accountability projects, with a special focus on human rights, social justice, and international development issues.
Now a campaigner at Access Info, Alba coordinates access to information projects at both the European and national level, with a particular interest in the campaign in Spain to promote greater government transparency and lobby regulation.

Alba works on a variety of Access Info project areas and core campaigns, including to obtain greater transparency of decision-making processes and lobbying activities, and to promote open government. In line with Access Info Europe’s strategic plan, Alba researches and analyses data obtained via access to information requests in order to make and promote policy recommendations that enhances transparency in practice and law around Europe.
Alba has a postgraduate qualification in Development Studies and holds a Master’s degree in Political Sciences after studying in Spain, the Netherlands and Sweden.
